The Work Based Learning (WBL) Specialist is responsible for supporting a wide range of college and career readiness programming for partner schools within PAI’s Business of Hospitality Management Program. Working directly with students and teachers in CTE programs that include Baking, Culinary Arts, Digital Media, Graphic Arts, and Sports Marketing, the WBL Specialist will also network with Industry leaders to ensure their engagement, participation and relevant programming. Working in multiple high schools and with a team of PAI colleagues, the WBL Specialist will design and implement college and career activities for in-school, after-school and summer programming. Additionally, the WBL Specialist will be responsible for the preparation and recruitment of students for internships and industry pipelines. They will report to the Associate Director of Hospitality.

DIRECTOR OF WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT - FULL TIME

As a member of Senior Management and PAI’s Leadership Team, the Director of Workforce Development is responsible for the development, oversite and implementation of PAI’s Workforce Development initiatives for high school aged youth, including Bridge Programming, registered in-school Pre-Apprenticeships and Youth Apprenticeships. The Director will supervise and support a team of staff tasked with program delivery, spearhead vital relationships with schools, industry partners, Advisory Councils, and Apprenticeship Programs, evaluate and make recommendations for the continuation, improvement or elimination of programs, manage all State and ATO Office Paperwork, and support with grant writing and reporting requirements, including managing budgets and ensuring grant goals and milestones are being met. The Director of Workforce Development reports to the Senior Program Director.

The Pre-Apprenticeship Coordinator is responsible for working with schools, teachers, and industry partners to support existing career pathways as well as to develop new Pre-Apprenticeship Programs in PAI’s partner schools. Their primary focus will be working directly with PAI’s PACT Program at a partner high school, supporting students and teachers in 4 CTE Programs through a 4-year program intended to better prepare students to graduate into successful careers in welding, electrical, plumbing and carpentry trades. Additionally, this person will be responsible for the annual recruitment and registration of cohorts of 12th grade Pre- Apprentices, as well support managing operational aspects of grant implementation and reporting.
