Our world is on fast forward, with new technology breakthroughs continuing to accelerate the pace of our lives. To prepare our students for both the existing job market and whatever is “the next big thing,” PAI has created a New Technology Pathways structure for developing curriculums and hands-on immersive programs to expose Career Academy students to these technology platforms and software applications.
We are looking to build upon the success of the web design and coding programs. Starting with Virtual Reality (VR) and Kinesiology, the New Technology Pathways initiative will include testing laboratories, workshop seminars, on-site field trips, hack-a-thon events, webinars and industry internships.
We are growing a network of Philadelphia public and charter schools that are pursuing the All Academy High School model. We work with each school to offer a unique set of career academies and pathways to give students career interest choices that are based upon Greater Philadelphia’s high priority occupations. Ultimately, our goal is to have 12,000 Philadelphia high school students in schools that use the career academy model with fidelity.
And we continue to innovate. One of our latest: integrating the use of digital technology to support post-secondary and career readiness efforts with Drexel University and ConnectED’s Digital OnRamps.
