Our Resources and Professional Development Approach
We listen to young people. We start by understanding how students experience career academies and the elements that they define as critical in their transition through high school and into adulthood. Students typically mention that a combination of structural supports referenced above, high expectations and a social network of positive adults provided through the model are what make the difference.
Because we are practitioners, working in a large urban environment we understand the challenges and facilitators that exist working in high schools both small and large.
