MISSION STATEMENT
Philadelphia
Academies, Inc. is a non-profit organization that expands life
and economic options for Philadelphia public school students through
career-focused programming that prepares young people for employment
and post-secondary education.
At its core, Philadelphia Academies,Inc. connects high school
kids with their futures, infuses them with a sense of hope, and
encourages them to believe again in their value and worth as human
beings. Through an overarching community that Philadelphia Academies,
Inc. creates for each of these children to flourish - filled with
teachers, coordinators, guidance counselors, School District of
Philadelphia staff and management, funders and especially business
partners and volunteers - the organization keeps kids in school
and on track to lead productive lives. Just as the lives of the
students served improve significantly, so too do our communities
and region as a result of a newly engaged, skilled, educated workforce.
