The Communications Academy magnet program at Roxborough High School
emphasizes strong verbal, writing and technical skills. This academically
rigorous program provides students with hands-on experience in
current communications technology. Students will gain exposure
to video production, desktop publishing, graphic/art design, advertising
and marketing, broadcast performance, theater, and journalism.
Included is an exciting new high school curriculum developed in
cooperation with the Public Relations Society
of America (PRSA). Upon graduation students are better
prepared to enter post-secondary institutions majoring in communications
or related career areas.
